Waterford star Wayne Hutchinson looks set to miss the Munster Hurling Final after breaking a bone in his hand. The injury is expected to take up to six weeks to recover.
Hutchinson injured his hand in Ballygunner’s Waterford Championship win over Passage last weekend and X-rays later showed that he had broken the bone. He has now been ruled out Davy Fitzgerald’s plans for the provincial decider against Tipperary on Sunday, July 10.
The defender only made his Championship debut in the semi-final against Limerick, where he started at full-back.
