Course Records tumbled in Pennsylvania overnight as Nick Watney shot the top of the leader board at the AT&T National.
The American wasn’t in the reckoning after opening rounds of 70 and 69 but all that changed after a superb round of 62 to move to 9 under and a share of the lead Rickie Fowler.
KJ Choi who had lead going into the third round had started the low scoring on Friday when he broke the course record with a 64 however that was reduced by a shot in the third round twice, with Chris Kirk and then Steve Marino both shooting 63’s.
However the final say was left to Watney who will head into the final round one shot ahead of Choi with Marino, Adam Scott and Webb Simpson all a further shot behind.
