Manchester United has found an unlikely rival in their bid to sign Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder in the shape of La Liga outfit Malaga.
According to goal.com the cash rich Spanish side, who like Manchester City, are backed by a Middle Eastern owner, are believed to have offered 35 million euro for the Dutch International.
Sneijder’s future has been up in the air since the end of the season with Inter coach Gian Piero Gasperini admitting that the player could leave this summer.
Sir Alex Ferguson has held a long term interest in the midfielder, and despite the arrival of Malaga on the scene, the Scot would be still be hopeful of completing a move should Inter do business.
