Armagh boss Paddy O’Rourke has said that he wants to remain in charge of the county’s senior footballers. The Orchard County had a mixed season, easily beating Down, then suffering a heavy defeat to Derry.
Despite later being knocked out of the qualifiers by Tyrone, O’Rourke feels he can do a job with his adopted county:
“I am willing to continue on and if everybody feels that is the best thing for Armagh football I will certainly do my best for Armagh football,” he said.I am looking forward to sitting down with the county board. I am not going to put myself first or anybody first, but I will chat it over with Paul Duggan (the county chairman) and the county board and see how they feel about it.”
Reports within Armagh have suggested that if O’Rourke gets the nod for another term he may be asked to change his backroom team.
