Young Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater has said he is prepared to be loaned out to a Championship to continue his career development.
The 21-year-old has been with United his entire career but has spent most of that time out on loan, at Huddersfield Town,Cardiff City and Watford. He is currently playing on the United reserves and has yet to make a real claim on a first team place.
Drinkwater has said that he remains unsure of his future at the club and is ready to return to the Championship if that can help him break into the first team United in the future.
“I don’t know (about my future),” Drinkwater told United’s official website. “I have to speak to the gaffer.
“I’ll maybe go back on loan to try and prove myself in the Championship and follow in some of the other lads’ footsteps.
“There’s a lot of centre-midfield players at the club. They are all quality players so it is difficult to break through.”
