Shamrock Rovers moved level on points with Sligo Rovers at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division as they beat Bray 5-2 in Tallaght.
Bray, who have beaten Rovers twice already this season, shocked the defending champions when they took the lead through a magnificent effort from Jake Kelly put Bray ahead with a cracking strike from 20 yards however their task was made all the more difficult when they had Shane O’Connor sent-off on 36 minutes.
The sending off changed the course of the game and Michael O’Neill’s side drew level when Gary McCabe scored and they took lead just in the second half when Rohan Ricketts’ scored his first Rovers goal from a free-kick just.
Rovers sealed the points with further goals from McCabe with his second, Ronan Finn and Gary Twigg, before Kelly scored his second in injury time.
The win puts the Hoops second in the table with only goal difference separating them from Sligo, however O’Neill’s side still have a game in hand Bray meanwhile stay seventh behind Dundalk.
