Despite been stood down on Friday Ruby Walsh is expected to be passed fit for tomorrow’s fascinating Hennessy Gold Cup card at Newbury.
Walsh, who is reunited with the magnificent Big Buck’s tomorrow, was stood down by the on course doctor after suffering a blow to the head after falling at the last on 9-4 favourite Sollim in the novices’ handicap chase.
Trainer Paul Nicholls reported: “Ruby has said he’s going to be okay for tomorrow, which is obviously a relief. The horse knocked his skull cap off, which is why he got the blow.”
Along with Big Buck’s Walsh is set to team up with Aiteen Thirtythree who is currently favourite for the Hennessy Gold Cup.
