Performance Director David Passmore commented ‘Sharpy (Graham Shaw) is an excellent appointment for this key group of players. He will bring a natural enthusiasm and passion to the role that the players will feed off and playing experience that will help these young developing players develop a full understanding of what it takes to play at this level of the game. He will also provide great continuity with the senior team having played and coached with Paul Revington.
Mark is also a good appointment given his playing and managerial experience in both a hockey and professional context. For Irish Hockey and this important group of athletes and I feel this partnership will be fruitful in developing these players and providing them with a good basis to move back to the top level of Irish Hockey”.
