Ruby Walsh will look to serve it up to the red hot favourite Sprinter Sacre in the Arkle Chase on the opening day of the Cheltenham festival.
Speaking to Racing UK, Walsh, who will be on Al Ferof in the Grade 1 contest, said that if he can get into a tussle with the Nicky Henderson trained gelding them the race may not be the foregone conclusion that many people think it will be.
“Sprinter Sacre was breath-taking, but to me he beat two handicappers. Al Ferof on the other hand ran in a proper Grade 1. I thought it was a great run and that he’d benefit greatly from it.
“Sprinter Sacre did look hugely exciting at Newbury, but if I can keep on his tail, push him forward and see if I can get him at it there’s nothing that will finish better than Al Ferof. If we get into a battle, Al Ferof will have a great chance so I hope we do.”
