Following the shock news about their captain Stiliyan Petrov, Aston Villa will look to bring a smile to their supporters when they host Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, kick off 3.00pm.
Along with Petrov, who has been ruled out for an indefinite period with acute leukaemia, Villa will also be without winger Charles N’Zogbia, who is still recovering from his knee injury.
Alex McLeish’s side will also have to cope without Darren Bent, defender Richard Dunne and midfielder Fabian Delph, who are all on the lone term injury list.
Chelsea, who come into the game off their win the Champions League against Benfica during the week, will be without Raul Meireles who picked up a knock in that win in Portugal.
Meireles is the only injury concern for Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo, who will be looking to keep up the good recent of form since he took over from Andres Villas Boas.
