Andy Carroll was a dramatic late transfer on the final day of the January transfer window in 2011, but the English striker claims he will not be moving this year.
The 22 year old has endured a difficult year at Liverpool following his £35m move from Newcastle and reports claimed Liverpool had offered the striker to Manchester City over the weekend.
Liverpool have refused to comment on the reports, but Steven Gerrard and Kenny Dalglish defended the striker after their victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup. Carroll also claims he is happy at Anfield and has no interest in moving elsewhere.
Carroll said: “The club has been great with me and everyone outside the club has been fantastic and I am enjoying it down here.
“Everyone has backed me and helped us along the way. I have signed a contract here and this is the team I am playing for.”
Carroll has not scored since October and has only scored four league goals for the Reds in 25 matches.
