Wicklow were the big winners in the opening round of matches in Division Four of the Allianz Football League.
The Garden County took apart a poor Kilkenny side, scoring three three first-half goals and eventually crushing the Cats by thirty points, 1-1 to 3-25.
There were also wins for Clare and Limerick and Wicklow on Sunday.
Clare profited from indiscipline in the Waterford team, who had three players sent off at Cusack Park in Ennis. The Banner County ultimately saw off the Deise by 1-17 to 0-12.
Limerick had a trickier time getting over the line against Leitrim in Carrick-on-Shannon, where only an Ian Ryan goal separated the teams. It was a positive performance from Leitrim, and there are plenty of positives for them to take away from the defeat. Ultimately, however, they will be disappointed no to get off to a winning start at home.
The final games scheduled for the weekend between London and Fermanagh was postponed due to heavy snowfall.
Clare 1-17 Waterford 0-12
Kilkenny 1-1 Wicklow 3-25
Leitrim 0-9 Limerick 1-9
