Wolves are awaiting an offer from Premier League side Everton for out-of-favour Wolves and Ireland striker Kevin Doyle before the transfer deadline shuts on Tuesday.

Doyle was Wolves’ £6million record signing when he moved from Reading in 2009 and he played a major part in them staying in the Barclays Premier League in his first season at the club.

However, the Republic of Ireland international has been off-form since he suffered a knee injury when on duty for the Republic of Ireland last March and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy could be tempted to offload Doyle.

If Doyle was to leave Molineux for Everton in the coming days, he would join his international teammates Darren Gibson, Seamus Coleman and Shane Duffy at the Merseyside club.
