According to reports in England Liverpool look set to include captain Steven Gerrard in their starting line up for Saturday’s clash with league leaders Manchester United
Liverpool have resisted the urge to throw Gerrard back into action following surgery on a groin injury that saw him ruled out for 6 months and the 31 year old has had to contend with just the three substitute appearances this season, the last of which came in the 2-0 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby.
Manager Kenny Dalglish knows only too well the difference the return of his talisman can make for the Reds telling reporters: “A fit Steven Gerrard strengthens this football club, no -question. If you have Steven in your squad, it’s going to raise the profile and standard.
“We want to have a really strong squad – and him being in it makes it that much stronger.”
