Leopardstown Rescheduled For Saturday 12th February
Gowran Park on Saturday 12th February transferred to Saturday 19th February
Fairyhouse on Saturday 19th February transferred to Wednesday 23rd February
Navan on Wednesday 23rd February transferred to Friday 25th February
Following the cancellation of Leopardstown on Sunday 6th February due to waterlogging, Horse Racing Ireland has announced the following alterations to the upcoming fixtures:-
Leopardstown Sunday 6th February will now take place on Saturday 12th February. Fresh entries for this meeting will close by 12 noon on Tuesday 8th February while the four Grade One Races on the card will revert to original entries and fresh forfeits for these races must be made by 12 noon on Tuesday 8th February.
To facilitate this change, the following fixture alterations will now come into effect:-
Gowran Park on Saturday 12th February is transferred to Saturday 19th February. Entries for this meeting will now close by 12 noon on Monday 14th February.
Fairyhouse on Saturday 19th February is transferred to Wednesday 23rd February. Entries for this meeting will now close by 12 noon on Thursday 17th February.
Navan on Wednesday 23rd February is transferred to Friday 25th February. Entries for this meeting will now close by 12 noon on Monday 21st February.
Horse Racing Ireland and Leopardstown Racecourse would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to principal sponsor Hennessy and all other sponsors on the Leopardstown card, to Gowran Park and their principal sponsor Red Mills, to Fairyhouse Racecourse, who had a significant number of pre-bookings for their Saturday card, and to Navan Racecourse for all their co-operation in facilitating the above fixture alterations.
Tom Burke, Manager of Leopardstown Racecourse, stated ‘we are very grateful to the other racecourses for their assistance in these changes and would like to inform all Gowran Park, Fairyhouse and Navan Annual Badge Members that they will be admitted free of charge to Leopardstown on Saturday 12th February.
In relation to the Naas Meeting on Saturday 5th February which was cancelled due to waterlogging, this meeting will not be rescheduled in the immediate future as the course received over 50mms of rain in the past two days and the priority for Naas Racecourse is to prioritise their two important meetings on Sunday 20th February and Sunday 6th March.
