Kilmacud man O’Rorke responded with two more scores giving Dublin the advantage. Mark Schutte was then replaced due to injury by John Hetherton. Laois were then hit with two sucker punches within 5 minutes of the restart. Oisin O’Rorke and David Keogh rattling in goals to put daylight between the teams. Dublin leading by 7. Ross King kept Laois in touch with frees, but Ronan Hayes netted Dublin’s 4th goal of the day midway through the half. It was a super goal.
