The Best Games in the Adventure Genre

The biggest game category in online casinos is slot games. The best online casinos in the world tend to offer players multi-vendor slots in order to give players a variety of themes and options to choose from. The top slot themes that UK players like to enjoy include romance, music, movie, horror, mythical and adventure slots.

Guest author Kate Richards used the following criteria to shortlist the best adventure slot games in the industry. Slot games were filtered based on the best adventure games in casinos, graphics, gameplay, special features, jackpot availability and return to player (RTP) percentages. If you would like to know more about Kate Richards, click here.

These are the top four adventure themed slots that you must try.

Gonzo’s Quest

Is one of the most classic adventure slots that was developed by Netent and has been around since 2010. During the last decade, this adventure slot has received a lot of positive reviews from players around the world. This game will see players join forces with a Spanish explorer who is looking for El Dorado.

This game can be played in both free to play mode and real money mode at most online casinos. Since Gonzo’s Quest is so popular, a number of UK online casinos tend to offer free spins on Gonzo’s Quest. This game has a 5×3 grid and 20 paylines. The betting range for this game starts at £0.20 and goes up to £200 which makes the game appealing to both low stakes and high stakes players.

This game has some cool special features which include 10 free spins and a 5x multiplier. Do note that this game is mobile friendly and can be accessed on both iOS and Android platforms. Get $50 free no deposit required for australia only

John Hunter and the Aztec Treasure

Pragmatic Play released this slot in July 2019 and it quickly became a hit with slot players in the UK. Those familiar with Pragmatic Play games were happy to see a new adventure slot featuring John Hunter. This game will see players join John Hunter and head off to the South American jungles in search for Aztec Treasure.

The game has a betting range that starts from £0.20 and goes up to £100 which makes it appealing to low stakes and mid-stakes players. The max jackpot win that a player can get here is £400. The free spins feature can give out as many as 25 free spins and the additional multiplier can pay out as much as 10x. If you are looking for a slot that has excellent graphics, you will enjoy this Playtech slot. Do note that the RPT for this game is rather low at 94.5%.

Treasure Skyland

If you prefer playing the latest adventure themed slot games, then you should check out this new slot from Just For the Win which is a Microgaming studio partner. This game was released in March 2020 and has a unique theme as it revolves around pirates that do not cruise the seas but cruise the skies.

These are not regular pirates but are monkey pirates who are flying ships looking out for treasure. The developer has done a great job with both the theme and graphics. The game is played on 5 reels and 25 paylines. The game will appeal to high stakes players as it has a betting range from £0.10 to £200 and a max jackpot value of £4000. This game also has a good RTP of 96.18%.

Skull’s Up!

This game was developed by Quickspin and was released in March 2020. This is another pirate themed game that takes players to a tropical island in search for treasures. They will be accompanied on their treasure hunt by screeching parrots, friendly pirates and cheeky monkeys.

This game has 5 reels and 242 paylines. The betting range starts from £0.10 and goes up to £100. The max jackpot that can be won here is fixed at £2000. This game is mobile friendly and can be played across a wide range of devices. The game has an RTP of 96.26%.

Conclusion

If you are looking for classic adventure slots try the first two slots. If you are looking for an adventure slot with a modern twist, try the last two slots.

Peamount United beat Shelbourne 3-1 to take Women’s National League

Peamount United won the 2020 Women’s National League title by 3-1 against Shelbourne at PRL Park.

Áine O’Gorman scored twice and Karen Duggan got one as they fought back from Emily Whelan’s opener for Shels to successfully defend their title.

In front of Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team Manager Vera Pauw, it was a tight first half with few goalscoring opportunities created as victory for either team would have seen them crowned as League winners.

Shels take the lead

Less than a minute into the second half Whelan scored, despite goalkeeper Niamh Reid-Burke getting a hand to it. Shels celebrated as Peamount were left stunned.

The game started to open up after that with Duggan pulling the strings for the home side, while Ciara Grant and Whelan impressed for The Reds.

On 66 minutes, Shels broke away and Rebecca Cooke looked certain to score. Before she could unleash a shot O’Gorman came out of nowhere with a superb tackle to deny her.

Two goals for O’Gorman

At the other end O’Gorman showed her class by scoring her 13th League goal of the season from a direct free-kick, after Duggan was fouled on the edge of the penalty area.

That goal gave Peamount confidence and they took advantage as Duggan got in front of her marker to head in past Shels goalkeeper Rachael Kelly.

Grant had a fantastic opportunity to level matters on 85 minutes but the Shels midfielder failed to fully connect with the ball.

With that the game slipped away from them as O’Gorman got her second of the night. She hooked the ball in from close range and that wrapped up the League win. Peamount won the title with a game to spare as they take on Wexford Youths on December 5th.

Teams

Peamount United: Reid-Burke; O’Callaghan (Barnes 90), Walsh, Farrelly, Beirne; O’Gorman, McCartan (Doyle 65), Duggan, McEvoy (Watkins 87); Ryan-Doyle; Roche (Smyth-Lynch 65).

Shelbourne: Kelly; Gleeson (Kavanagh 78), Slattery, Finn; Graham (Mooney 85); Gargan, Cooke, Grant, Ziu, Atkinson; Whelan.

Referee: Paula Brady.

Green Bay Packers @ Indianapolis Colts – Betting, Predication and Fantasy Advice

While Tennessee head to Baltimore, their AFC South rival Indianapolis Colts play host to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

A Colts loss would open the door for Tennessee to regain control of the division should they beat Baltimore with the 2 going head to head next week. The Packers come into the game with 2 wins more than the Chicago Bears at the top of the NFC North despite having played a game less. A win here leaves them 3 full games clear which would seem an insurmountable gap given how both teams have been playing. So, this game has the lot, motivation for both sides to win, both have plenty of talent but also weakness there to be got at. This is a very intriguing match-up.

Betpat Betting:
Money line: Packers 11/10 Colts 3/4
Points Spread: Colts  -1.5
Over/Under: 51.5

I reckon this is a swing for the fences type game if you’re looking to put money on it. TY Hilton to score a TD in each half is 35/1. I know he hasn’t had a good season so far, but we know he has the talent. And Aaron Jones is 40/1 to score the 1st and last TD.

Fantasy Football Outlook:
Green Bay Packers:
Packers offense has been on fire this season and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out who is at the heart of that. Aaron Rodgers is one of the greatest to ever strap on a pair of pads and when he is playing with a chip on his shoulder like he has been this season, he usually leads a path of destruction in his wake. But this Colts defense have given up the least amount of fantasy points to Quarterbacks in the league so it’s a clash of the unstoppable force and the immovable object. It would be a big call to not start Rodgers in ant game though.

Rodgers isn’t alone in driving the Packers forward either. Aaron Jones provides the Packers with a very solid run game and the Packers will need him performing at a high level to keep this Colts defense honest.

The holy trinity is rounded out by Devante Adams at WR, legitimately one of the leagues’ elite. Backing them up are Receiver Marquez Valdez-Scantling and Tight End Robert Tonyan. While neither name would strike fear into too many defences by themselves, Rodgers ability to turn players of seemingly modest ability into serious receiving threats makes them viable fantasy options.

The big worry for GB is their defense though who are there to be got at. Stopping the run game has consistently been their Achilles’ heel and given the Colts solid list of Running Backs to choose from, I don’t recommend using the Packers D.

Indianapolis Colts:
The Colts offense is led by veteran Philip Rivers who has been having an up and down type season. He may have to be content with letting the run game carry the heavier load in this game as the Packers are much better defending the passing game than a ground attack.

Indy are another team with a stable of decent Running Backs and which one provides the bulk of the production on any given day is tough to predict. Rookie Jonathan Taylor is the most talented of the three,  but Hines and Wilkins get their share of carries too and a lot depends on who shows the hot hand early.

At receiver, the Colts have generally struggled to make any impact on the fantasy landscape but there is hope. Rookie Michael Pittman had been frustrated with injury and limited opportunity up until last week, but he finally got to give everyone a glimpse of the potential he has against the Titans. If he can establish himself as a good accomplice for TY Hilton, they could be a very dangerous partnership.

As mentioned already, the Colts defense is outstanding, although they do have a big test on their hands against Rodgers and co. But the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed that they can be stifled. The slight worry is that they don’t have the pass rush ability to really make Rodgers uncomfortable and if they have to bring extra bodies to apply that pressure, Rodgers is very adept at taking advantage. So that battle will be very interesting to watch.

My Prediction:
I have no idea where to start. There are so many questions to be answered to decide this game. On one hand, I usually favour the teams with the solid defense. On the other hand, the Packers have been overcoming the lack of a defense for donkey’s years. And I just feel that if the Colts afford to fall behind at any stage, they’ll struggle to claw their way back. I’m taking the Packers by 6 but with zero conviction in that prediction

Packers by 6.

Cathal Daniels wins CCI4*-S in Portugal

Galway’s Cathal Daniels won the feature CCI4*-S at this weekend’s Portugal Winter Tour in Barroca d’Alva.

Ireland’s 2019 European Championship bronze medallist led from start to finish in the CCI4*-S with the Sarah Hughes-owned gelding Barrichello. They were the only combination to finish on their Dressage score (29.7). Daniels also took sixth place with My Lucky Day on a score of 40.1.

In the CCSI3*-S, Daniels was runner-up with The Irish Sport Horse Shannondale Mari (ISH) on a score of 35.5. Ireland’s Jennifer Kuehnle finished fourth with Polly Blue Eyes.

The Portugal Winter Tour continues until December 6th, with two more weeks of International competitions on offer.

Nicolas Pepe sees red as Arsenal draw with Leeds

Arsenal sit in 11th while Leeds are 14th after the match.

Arsenal travelled to Elland Road for this evening’s Premier League fixture. The two sides met in the FA cup at the beginning of the year, Arsenal got the better of Leeds back then as crowds watched the Gunners collect a 1-0 win. Today was a different story as a hard-working Leeds side were unfortunate not to claim 3 points.

Both managers have their connection to Pep Guardiola, Marcelo Bielsa having mentored the Manchester City manager. Adversely, Mikel Arteta benefitted from his time as Pep’s assistant manager from 2016 to 2019. Experience nearly paid dividend as Bielsa outclassed the Arsenal manager, but his men were unable to break the deadlock.

As is the case with most Leeds’ matches, an exciting affair was promised. Although there was no goals scored, that proved to be the case.

Leeds controlled much of the game. Arsenal consistently failed to get out of their own half due to the high pressing of Leeds. When they did get into the final third, they failed to break down the Leeds’ defence – other than a few occasions – and were hit on the counter with regularity.

Patrick Bamford had the first big chance of the game in the 12th minute. Ezgjan Alioski’s great run and cross played Bamford in, but his touch was comfortably saved by Bernd Leno.

Arsenal man Nicolas Pepe very nearly opened the scoring in bizarre circumstances in the 20th minute. After beating his opposite number a handful of times, the Ivorian swung in a cross turned shot which rattled off the crossbar.

Bamford had another good chance come the 30th minute. After some good combination play from Mateusz Klich and Luke Ayling, the ball found its way into the box. After less than impressive defending from Gabriel, Bamford connected with ball on the half volley, but Bernd Leno produced a good save to keep the in-form striker out.

Stuart Dallas has played a lot of football this season already. The Northern Ireland international played 3 full 90 minutes during the international break as well as having played in every Premier League game thus far. He appears to be showing no signs of slowing down so far as he worked as hard as ever in this evening’s fixture. His persistence nearly paid off in the 33rd minute after a fortunate touch into his path gave him a chance while in space. Unfortunately for him, he shot wide of the mark.

The first half finished scoreless as Leeds controlled the majority of the play and shut out Arsenal at nearly every occasion.

Arsenal’s task became even more difficult in the 50th minute. £80 million man Nicolas Pepe was sent off for an off the ball incident involving Ezgjan Alioski. He walked down the tunnel in what was the first sending off of his professional career.

Bernd Leno produced a stunning save in the 63rd minute to deny Stuart Dallas. The Northern Irishman connected sweetly from just outside the box with his shot going into the top corner, but the German denied him with his agility and reflexes.

After a succession of missed half chances from Leeds, Rodrigo chance close in the 75th minute. The former Valencia forward unleashed a piledriver from distance which just whistled wide of the post. A few more inches to the right and it would have been a certain goal for the Spaniard.

Just minutes later, Rodrigo had another effort from range. This time, his shot from the edge of the box rattled the crossbar before going out to safety.

In an unlikely turn of events, substitute Bukayo Saka had a chance to give Arsenal the lead in the 84th minute. He was played through after a brilliant run and pass by Hector Bellerin but the new England star was unable to slot past the keeper despite being in space.

Leeds went close to a goal of their own in the 86th minute, a cross from Ian Carlo Poveda met the head of Patrick Bamford. Again, though, he squandered the chance as his effort hit the post.

To add to the misfortune of Leeds, Rodrigo hit the woodwork again in the 94th minute as the game ticked on.

That chance would prove to be the last as the match finished scoreless. Leeds can feel hard done by having controlled the majority of the game and creating most of the chances.

Arsenal play Wolves next weekend while Leeds play Everton as both teams will hope to collect 3 points.

Tennessee Titans @ Baltimore Ravens – Fantasy, Betting & Prediction

The 2 teams fighting it out for top honours in the AFC South are both featured on Sky this Sunday, beginning with the Tennessee Titans trip to M&T Bank Stadium to take on the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens were most people’s favourites to win the AFC North and be well in the hunt for the Lombardi Trophy. But they find themselves at 6-3, neck and neck with the Cleveland Browns in the race for 2nd in the division. The Titans themselves are tied with the Indianapolis Colts, also at 6-3 but that tussle is for outright winners in the South. Both sides have a lot on the line here and will need to improve on their recent form to claim that all important ‘W’.

Betpat Betting:
Money line: Titans 2/1 Ravens 2/5
Points Spread: Ravens -6.5
Over/Under: 50.5

My gut says these odds either have Baltimore highly overrated or Tennessee highly underrated in this one. I don’t see where a 6.5 point spread in favour of the Ravens comes from in all honesty.

Fantasy Football:
Titans:
The Titans offensive arsenal boasts the like of the rejuvenated Ryan Tannehill at QB, the electric AJ Brown at receiver, Jonnu Smith at Tight End and of course ‘King’ Derrick Henry at RB. The only issue is they are right in the middle of a 5-game run where they face a killers’ row of defences. In the last 2 weeks they went up against the Chicago Bears and the Indianapolis Colts. And after this game they face the Colts again and the Cleveland Browns. But this may be the toughest of the lot, and even the toughest in the entire league.

Tannehill has been a steady hand at QB since he took the mantle from Marcus Mariota last season and is usually a solid fantasy option. But his production did take a bit of a dip against the Bears and Colts which is not a good sign for a guy whose ability to carry the heavy load is regularly called into question. He seems to have tightened up his turnover count which raises his floor for fantasy.

The previously mentioned combination of Receiver AJ Brown and Tight End Jonnu Smith are his biggest weapons in the passing game. Given the quality of the Ravens corners, Brown is a bit of a risk, but I expect Smith to play a big part. With some issues on the offensive line, expect a lot of 2 Tight End sets so if you are stuck for a Tight End off waivers this week, you could do worse than Anthony Firkser.

As always, the run game is the Derrick Henry show and, barring injury, that won’t change. The Ravens bring a nasty front 7, although both Calais Campbell and Brandon Williams look set to miss out. If anyone can take advantage of those 2 hammer blows, it’s Derrick Henry.

Ravens:
For Baltimore, Lamar Jackson entered the season expected to be in the race to be the top fantasy QB in the NFL. He hasn’t quite lived up to that, as teams have been more successful at containing him in the pocket and forcing him to win with his arm this year. One of the first examples of how to shut down the Ravens read option game was provided by the Titans themselves in last years’ playoffs and Mike Vrabel will have his defense set up for a repeat performance

The ripple effect of Jacksons’ struggles has also seen Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews failing to live up to the high standards expected from them. While Andrews sits at 4th in TE fantasy rankings, 2 huge days vs Cleveland and Washington paper over the cracks of a largely mediocre season so far.

The Ravens RB corps is another one that favours more of a committee approach which hurts the fantasy stock of each of their backs. It’s very rare to see any of the 3 get over 15 carries in a game so while Dobbins, Ingram and Edwards have plenty of talent, there is a low ceiling on all of them in terms of fantasy production.

The most reliable fantasy asset Baltimore have is their defense. The presumed absence of both Campbell and Williams on that defensive line is a big blow though especially when Derrick henry is the one in line to test out what’s left. Big test on their hands but they won’t be in any mood to be ran over.

My Prediction:
Very even game here. I think the most important battle of the day is Baltimore trying to shut down Henry without having to overcommit. The Titans are as good as anyone in the league at utilising play action and I think they can keep the very aggressive Ravens defense off balance and pull off a narrow win

Titans by 4

Cavan vs Donegal: Ulster Final Preview, Starting Team News, Betting, Prediction

It’s a repeat of last year’s Ulster Final in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday as Cavan attempt to dethrone Donegal again. Donegal claimed a five-point win last year but Cavan still went much further than many expected. Likewise, they have been major underdogs on two occasions already this year and have proved everyone wrong. But, Donegal have been proving they’re a class above their Ulster opponents so far this year. Hence, Cavan face their toughest task if they are to continue they’re trend of providing upsets.

Click for live score commentary of Cavan v Donegal

Firstly, the Breffni men got the Ulster Championship off to a spectacular start. With ten minutes left on the clock, they trailed Monaghan by six. Somehow Cavan came back to send the game to extra-time which was an achievement in itself. But, they smelled blood and pushed Monaghan all the way. Penalties seemed inevitable until goalkeeper Raymond Galligan scored the winner from 59metres out.

A reasonably comfortable win over Antrim followed but Cavan repeated their comeback trick last weekend against Down.

This time, they were on the wrong side of an eight-point deficit at half-time. It seemed like five games in five weeks was taking its toll on Mickey Graham’s men as bad handling and decision-making suggested fatigue. Furthermore, Down were just much more economical in possession.

But, Graham’s adjustments at the interval proved to be good ones. For example, Conor Madden came in and kicked three points in addition to two assists. Likewise, Thomas Galligan was put at full-forward and tied up the Down defence effectively. They smothered Down in midfield and the forwards capitalised with a steady stream of points to eclipse Down’s early lead.

Donegal hype train rolls on

Meanwhile, Donegal returned to the pitch for the first time since their duel with Tyrone. Armagh were the opposition and on paper it was going to be another stern test for Donegal’s credentials. Yet, half-time Declan Bonner’s side had blown the Orchard County out of the water and there was already talk of a Donegal-Dublin semi-final.

At the interval it was 1-12 to 0-3 after a display of sheer dominance by Donegal. Their physicality in the tackle made Armagh’s attacks absolutely futile. At the other end, size didn’t come at the expense of skill as the points continued to come.

Somewhat worryingly, Donegal’s defensive guardian Stephen McMenamin left the pitch after three minutes with a hamstring strain. Bonner admitted the chances of him being fit for this weekend’s final didn’t look good at the time.

Odhran McFadden-Ferry is another absentee for Donegal. He is on tour with the Irish Army. In addition, Paul Brennan left the pitch midway through the second-half due to injury.

In contrast, Paddy McBrearty got some well-needed Championship minutes and scored with his first contribution.

While Cavan have already proved themselves capable of turning the tide against major opponents, the Donegal train is at full tilt. They racked up 1-22 against Armagh in 70 minutes of pure precision.

Monaghan and Down had bad spells to allow Cavan back into their games. It’s hard to imagine Donegal showing such a lapse.

The Ulster final is live on RTÉ.

Paddy Power have Donegal at a short 1/10 versus Cavan’s 7/1. A draw is 10/1.

Prediction: Donegal. Cavan are no right-off. But, even their best is probably not enough to see them past Donegal here who are proving to be genuine title contenders.

Cork vs Tipperary: Munster Football Final Preview, TV Channel, Betting, Prediction

The first Munster Final without Kerry since 2012 is the one with the highest reward. The winner of Cork vs Tipperary will go straight to an All-Ireland semi-final against Mayo on the 6th of December. Tipperary played Mayo at that stage of the competition in 2016 but should this fixture come around again they’ll fancy their chances even more. Meanwhile, Cork haven’t been in an All-Ireland semi-final since 2012.

Cork v Tipperary football live score commentary

Fighting for the Final

There is little need for a reminder about how Cork got to this final. Their last-minute defeat of Kerry is one of the greatest GAA upsets in recent memory. After salvaging extra-time, Cork looked as if they were finally beat when the clock was in the red and Kerry had a two-point lead. However, the script wasn’t written in stone and Mark Keane emerged as the Rebels’ saviour. Luke Connolly backed himself from far out on the left-hand side to kick the equaliser but his shot was short. Thankfully, Keane was in the right place and he plucked the ball out of the Páirc Uí Chaoimh floodlights and poked it goalwards. As a result, Cork march on and the 2019 runners-up won’t be heard from again in 2020.

There was similar drama in the other Munster semi-final. Tipperary went in as favourites. But, as time was up they were a point-down and had a free from the sideline in the Limerick ’45. Conor Sweeney fancied it and rightly so. A sweet strike with the outside of his left foot hit the post and went over. Next, extra-time continued in that same manner. The Championship’s first-ever penalty shoot-out seemed certain but Brian Fox had other ideas. The Premier County veteran kicked a point in injury time that Limerick could not cancel out.

Super Sunday

Now, Tipperary have a golden opportunity to win their first Munster title since 1935. They enter the game as underdogs though given the manner in which Cork won their semi-final.

Ronan McCarthy will expect his Cork team to lift the Munster Cup after dethroning Kerry. However, Tipperary have the players to upset the Rebel parade. Last time out both Cork and Tipperary displayed huge amounts of heart and desire to win. It may take the same sort of display again to separate these teams.

With that in mind, both managers will be glad for the two-week recovery their players have had.

The Munster Final is live on RTÉ on Sunday.

Cork are 11/5 favourites with Paddy Power versus Tipperary’s 4/1. A draw is 12/1.

Prediction: Cork. It may be another game that requires extra-time. But, Cork will be desperate not to let such a remarkable opportunity to go abegging.
