Sports sponsorship: these are the sports where the most money flows!

It’s no secret that companies fund sports clubs. In 2019, a staggering 30 billion US dollars flowed into various clubs in every conceivable sport worldwide as part of sports sponsorship. Yet the sport of soccer is still the measure of all things. Meanwhile, the gaming industry is also jumping on the trend – like CasinoSource.ie – and both sides are reaping the benefits of financially strong support. For marketing purposes, the sport is ideally suited because billions of fans actively support their clubs and visibility for sponsors is significantly increased. Regardless of whether it’s shirt advertising or banner advertising, without sponsors the clubs have little chance of surviving financially and achieving sporting success.

This is how the billions of sponsorship dollars in sports are divided up

As already mentioned, the sport of soccer plays an overriding role in the topic of sponsorship. In terms of the annual investment sum (2019) of more than 30 billion US dollars, around 13 billion US dollars are invested in global socceralone. That is already a considerable sum. In racing – such as Formula 1 – the sum still amounts to 2.5 billion U.S. dollars. But the differences are clear here, and the extent to which soccer in particular plays an enormously important role for sponsors. Other sports where sponsors like to advertise their brand are basketball, Olympic sports and American football, each with around 2.2 billion US dollars.

They are followed by golf, baseball, rugby and ice hockey. Sponsors invest the least money in boxing and sailing. Tennis, on the other hand, receives around one billion US dollars in sponsorship money. Recently, online casinos and sports betting providers have also been investing as part of sponsorship, because the gambling industry has become established in society. Gone are the days when clubs and associations refused casino sponsors and even in America (especially American football) more and more collaborations between clubs and the gambling industry are taking place.

These are the profitable deals in soccer sponsorship!

To illustrate the sums that flow in soccer alone, some deals are now presented. The Spanish club Barcelona refused to sponsor for a long time (until 2006). But now the retail chain Rakuten pays a whopping 65 million a year to the club. Other sponsors of the successful club include Nike and Qatar Airways. Barcelona is therefore not only the most successful soccer club of this century, but also one of the most profitable in terms of sponsorship. The financial backers are literally scrambling for a partnership with the club. But Real Madrid also finances its expensive players through marketing and sponsorship. Several brands have invested in the soccer club in recent years. With a value of about 3.4 billion euros, Real Madrid (as of 2021) is incidentally the most valuable soccer club in the entire world.

Since 2014, Adidas and Chevrolet have been considered Manchester United’s main sponsors. The club earns a whopping 187 million euros per year from these two sponsors, but they are far from being the club’s only sponsors. However, the world’s most successful soccer clubs also need financially strong partners to pay the horrendous player salaries. In addition, sums are sometimes transacted on the transfer market that would be almost impossible to manage without strong partners from sponsorship. Of course, the sponsors do not undertake this financial tour de force entirely altruistically. The visibility of the brands is increased and, in the medium term, the investment naturally pays off. So both sides benefit from sponsorship in the soccer business.

Betting providers and online casinos are also active sponsors

Around 70 percent of all professional soccer teams in the European TOP leagues are also financially supported by gambling providers. Soccer at European level is the most actively watched sport in the world. Here, the English Premier League takes the highest percentage of viewership. Many clubs have contracts with sponsors from the gambling industry. Why not? Many fans who support their club also like to invest in sports betting and place a bet on the victory of their team. It is interesting to note that in soccer there are certain tendencies for victory or defeat. There are clear favorites and outsiders. Therefore, results can be estimated, at least potentially.

Without financiers, the billion-dollar business in soccer does not work. Running a successful club requires large sums of money to be invested. Player salaries, training, huge amounts of other personnel and the maintenance costs for sometimes huge stadiums alone cost a lot of money. It is therefore all the more understandable that soccer clubs go in search of sponsors. For the most successful and well-known clubs, this does not matter, because sponsors – including those from the casino industry and betting providers – are literally lining up. Smaller clubs rely on a variety of sponsors and also gratefully accept offers from the gambling industry. As is alreadyknown, the best-paid athletes in the world are to be found in the sport of soccer. In soccer, capital is also partly responsible for success. The best players cost vast sums in transfer fees. But only the best players are a guarantee for success in the game.

These are the future trends in sports marketing

What is generally a certain trend is also used by athletes. Not only in soccer do athletes market themselves as influencers. A typical example is PSG’s superstar Neymar. His income has long been derived from only a fraction of the – quite lavish – player’s salary. The new “digital heroes” from the sports industry generate millions in sales thanks to financially strong sponsors. So it’s not just the clubs and associations that benefit from advertising partners, but the athletes themselves. This is also important because sports careers are of limited duration. All social platforms are used intensively. The athletes and clubs do this at a high level.

It’s not done with the advertising partner’s logo on the jersey or stadium advertising. Meanwhile, sponsors are marketing their products and services through emotionality and storytelling. Current social issues also find expression in individual advertising in sports. The credibility of the advertising partners plays an important role here. Increasingly, the combination of sponsor and athlete or sports club is also important. These have to fit together. Not just any brand fits the soccer club. Here, strategists behind the scenes try to find harmonious advertising partners that fit into the club’s concept. This strategy is called “branding” and is being pursued more and more often.

Of course, it is also about addressing the right target group. On a sporting and financial level, attempts are made to find the right combination of sponsorship and club image building. Sponsors will continue to be indispensable for the sport in the future, and the two levels also harmonize splendidly with each other.

Five years on from Seamus Coleman’s leg injury, how much has it affected his career since?

Before Wales’ Neil Taylor decided to tackle Seamus Coleman during a World Cup qualifier in March of 2017, the Irish right-back was tipped to join one of the Premier League’s top six clubs.

A second later and that dream was all but over once Taylor had recklessly clattered into Coleman, leaving him with a double leg break and a spell of ten months on the sideline. Taylor meanwhile only had to contend with a mere two-game ban before carrying on with his career.

It should be said that there are varying degrees in which a sportsman can break their leg. Indeed, England rugby prop Joe Marler once recounted a humorous tale about being diagnosed with a broken leg only a week after it happened and still went on to compete in a fixture with what was supposedly a significant fracture. Some careers, as you can see, don’t come to a standstill when this happens and in Marler’s case, he was hardly affected. Even today, there is very little sign of any long-term side effects, as the latest rugby odds from Betfair will attest to with Marler’s team the Harlequins, whom he plays a talismanic role for, at just 9/2 to win the Gallagher Premiership this season.

Essentially, life went on for Marler as it does for others who also sustain similar fractures.

Coleman, however, won’t ever have the luxury of telling a humorous anecdote to the Independent about his leg break given that it threatened to end his career right then and there. Additionally, there was no mistaking what had just happened as the right-back clutched his leg on the turf of the Aviva Stadium. Somewhere in the background, the referee waved a red card in Taylor’s face as the Irish team doctors sprinted onto the pitch.

It is during moments like these when injury of this nature strikes that nothing is ever guaranteed as far as the future goes.

Of course, comebacks are not impossible but there is still a sense of concern as few can predict what type of career will be had after the hard yards of rehabilitation are put in. As far as Coleman goes, it won’t come as a surprise given how much of a competitor he is, to hear that he was always convinced that he would make a return and play in the Premier League again.

Five years on from that 0-0 draw in Dublin and Coleman has made a phenomenal achievement in itself. Yes, the conversation around Everton’s right-back can, at times, centre on how much he lost in terms of not securing a move to a bigger club owing to his injury, but it’s easy to forget just how much much is required of a player to compete in England’s top-flight.

The inescapable reality is that it is an unforgiving and ruthless league that will expose any professional who can’t cut it. This is where Coleman deserves huge credit having returned to the Toffees’ first team in 2018 whilst astonishingly, going on to receive the captain’s armband in 2019 following Phil Jagielka’s departure from Goodison Park.

With this impressive trajectory in mind following Coleman’s double leg break in 2017, one can only conclude that the 33-year-old hasn’t given this injury even the slightest chance of affecting his career.

Remarkably, the Irish international has racked up an impressive 383 caps for Everton as of May 2022 and will go down as one of their all-time greats when he eventually leaves the club.

Needless to say, this was not an outcome that was even remotely considered as Coleman gazed up into the Irish night sky on that fateful evening in March 2017.

How to Bet on Live Matches at Online Bookmaker Sites?

Do you love sports and would like to start betting live at online bookmakers to get more winnings?

You are already well involved but you want to improve and learn a little more?

As the players evolve on the field, as the tension mounts on both sides, the excitement of the moment does not prevent you from anticipating the outcome of a match, you have a cool head and already know what will be the score? Well it is indeed the sign that you can go to Live Bet and enter the big leagues

Here are some meaningful tips from the pros to secure your winning trajectory in the world of live sports betting.

Prepare Seriously

The big difference between live betting and “normal” betting is that everything happens in real time and there are a lot of different parameters to analyse.

As a result, live betting favours those who best understand the sport in question and know the different teams participating in the competition being bet on. It is therefore absolutely necessary to master the rules of the game, the participating teams, their respective trajectories in the championship and the forces present during the match.

Successful bettors focus on sports they know well and use a schedule to prepare for matches where they can reasonably predict the outcome based on their knowledge. Remember to take enough time before the match begins so that you can update your information and take into account any factors external or internal to the teams which could affect the outcome of the match, and therefore your bet.

Enter “the Zone”

Betting live is a sort of sporting competition against other bettors. It is essential, to borrow the language of sport, that you enter “in the zone”, that is to say in the mental state appropriate to win. Especially when everything is played out in real time and you no longer have time to think.

To take this expression literally, you also need to place yourself in a place where potential distractions will affect your mental acuity, your judgement, and your speed of execution as little as possible. So whether you’re watching the event in the stadium or watching it on your smartphone or on TV, make sure you’re in the “right zone” – the best place – to concentrate. If you’re chatting with friends, having a few drinks or cheering for your favourite team while watching the game, you risk making a classic sports betting mistake – a mistake that can cost you dearly in the case of Live Bet!

Identify Major Trends

Momentary fluctuations have always been a key factor in determining live betting odds. However, it is necessary to manage to grasp the “lines of force”, the trends which develop during a season, the form of the sportsmen, etc.

For example, a player or a team that attacks, dominates, is more likely to grow in confidence and benefit from a more favorable atmosphere to win. This increases the likelihood that they will continue on this positive trend resulting in a virtuous circle and therefore more predictable wins. On the other hand, a losing streak can lead to a loss of confidence and create a more hostile environment. This is clearly seen: the spiral of the defeated is very difficult to break. Now that live betting is possible, it is necessary to be able to react instantly to a major event during the game, such as an unexpected injury, an exclusion, an unexpected substitute entering the field.

The sharpest bettors use their knowledge of the sport and attention to detail to spot less obvious indicators of moves affecting the economy of the match, its dynamics. By understanding heavy trends, instantaneous fluctuations earlier than online bookmakers, you can get good live betting odds and beat them at their own game.

Keep an eye out for special bets

Before the start of a game, it is common to bet on the result, the score and the players who could score. Beyond that, there aren’t many reasons to place football bets for things like the number of corners conceded or the number of yellow cards, are there?

Well, that’s part of what makes live betting so exciting! With live betting there are a large number of additional parameters that can be predicted and therefore bet on. Understanding these dynamics will give you an edge over the bookmakers, so take advantage of these special bets in any way possible.

If you thought football was exciting when you had to wait for a goal to be scored, then you’ll definitely appreciate it when you only need a corner kick to win or a piece of paper colored yellow or red!

Bet on the Favourites… When They Lose!

This is a simple live betting strategy adopted by seasoned bettors. This strategy uses momentum swings, and it involves betting on championship favourites, even when they lose.

Now, it may seem counterintuitive to bet on losing a player or a team, but let’s be clear: this is where you can make the biggest wins. For example, when betting on tennis, if the favourite loses the first set, then the odds that were set before the match will be readjusted for live betting. This is where it gets interesting: once the bookmakers readjust the odds, you can then place your bet on the favourite at a much more favourable rate than those who have bet on them all along. There you have it, a not-so-obvious technique!

Control Your Expenses

Money is the sinews of war. You’re going to lose battles, win many more, and you always have to know where you stand. So it’s always a good idea for bettors to keep track of how much money you’re betting and what your limits are. And this is especially true for live betting because everything happens much faster and the options for placing bets can be almost limitless! So, keep a cool head because, unlike the Casino where only chance intervenes, here you can know and appreciate, practically, all the parameters. That’s a BIG difference.

The Most Common Terms of Online Sportsbooks

If you want to enjoy sports betting platforms, you have to master some terminology in order to avoid unnecessary mistakes and get your dream winnings.

Although online bookmakers are easy, there are nuances that can make all the difference in your betting experience. In fact, sports betting is a complex world of concepts, stats and probability. Newcomers need to understand these terms to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings when betting. The jargon is used especially in all sports books without exception that you can find on the bonus page, promotional messages, betting slip, and checkout page.

On this page we will provide you with the most important terms that you should rely on in order to have an error-free betting experience. However, depending on the sports betting site you choose, it is possible that you will find other terms. In this case, you can ask customer service about these terms before you take any other action.

ROI

It is the return on investment. Used by pro bettors, the ROI represents the percentage of winnings in relation to your bets.

ROI Calculation

(Profit/Stake) x 100 or so (Profit/Total Stake). Where profit is equal to winnings – stake.

The Cashout

By activating this function, you can recover part of your potential earnings, without even waiting for the end of the match. The value of the cash-out is calculated automatically by the bookmaker and evolves according to the vagaries of the match.

You can trigger a cash-out for 2 reasons: either to limit the damage in case of bad wind at halftime, by saving part of our initial bets instead of losing everything; either to secure our winnings, so shortly before the end of the match, you have a doubt about the final victory. By activating the cash out option, we collect our winnings but with less profit than expected when placing the bet. Cash out is somewhat the option of the hyperactive, the hesitant, those who change their minds, the cautious or the clairvoyant – in short, it can be used by everyone!

Over/ Under

These are terms in English that refer to sports betting: the first means “over” and therefore for “a 3.5 basket over” scored in a basketball match you must bet on at least 4 baskets scored to win. According to the same logic “under” means “less” and therefore for an “under of 3.5 baskets” you will win if you have bet on 3 baskets.

Half-time / Full-time (HT / FT)

It is a sports bet which offers to make a prediction on the result at half-time (HT = Half-time) and at the end of the match (FT = Full-time). So you have to make two predictions.

Free Bet

Free bet is no deposit bonus, so if you lose you lose nothing, while if you win you get the profit.

Handicap Betting

It is a bet for which a handicap or an advantage is attributed to one of the teams in a match. The basic handicap is +1 or -1, which means that a team leaves with a lead or a goal behind.

Double Bet

Such a bet is in fact a prediction on two selections in different matches. To succeed in your bet, both selections must be winners.

Long Term Bet

This is a bet on a sporting event whose result will be known at a more or less distant deadline.

1-N-2

This is the bet where you have to find the final result of a match among 3 solutions: team 1 wins, draw, or team 2 wins.

Correct Score at Half Time

One such bet is to find the score of a game at halftime. You will be able to choose from a list of possible scores offered by the bookmaker, each with its own odds.

Patent

A patent match consists of making 7 bets on 3 selections in different sporting events. The bet includes a single bet for each selection, 3 double bets and a treble bet. If a selection wins you will also win.

Odds Categories

There are several types of odds that differ in particular by their calculation formula:

  • European: it is a whole number or decimal and the profit calculation formula is Profit = Stake * (Odd 1)
  • British: it is odds in the form of a fraction and the formula is Profit = Stake * Odds
  • American: it is a positive or negative number. The negative odds indicate the bet needed to achieve a profit of 100, while the positive represents the profit that corresponds to a bet of 100.

System Bet

It is a combination of several bets. The systems can be complex especially if you play in Anglo-Saxon bookmakers

Value Bet

It is simply to think and for some to calculate that the bookmaker overvalued a vote and it is therefore a trick to win more at less risk. This estimate is often a personal thing, but there is a mathematical calculation to define it:

(Odds x 100) / Objective probability of the event in %

The unknown remains indeed to determine the objective probability of the event.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the lexicon of sports betting may seem quite complicated, but with these basics you can quickly get used to it and play like a pro. Good luck !

Best Descriptive Essay on Soccer in Ireland

For many generations, soccer (Gaelic football) has been an integral part of the culture in Ireland. This sport brings the Irish people together in the same way that football does in brazil, hockey in Canada, and baseball in the US. Gaelic football has an enthusiastic and extremely abundant history that dates back generations and remains the country’s pride even today.

The origin of Gaelic football (the modern-day sport) goes back to an Irish sport called Hurling. The sport hurling has existed for so long and has been bet over as far back as 4000 years because of the first Lunagsha banquet in the Tailteann video games. The first known Gaelic football video game was done in 1670 in County Meath, Ireland, and it had 6-aside groups. It used many guidelines similar to hurling, but the balls were bigger and softer, and there were no hurls. After every four actions, the ball is dropped to the foot and then kicked back up again, or the player bounced it.

History of the sport

The best way to describe this sport is a mixture of football and rugby. It wasn’t until the 18th century that countries started to play games against each other. However, back in the 14th century, this sport was played. Even though it was played in a completely different form from the way it’s now, it was very violent. The video games were fun with several balls made of horsehide with many gamers and were more than a country mile. The sport had many stops for fist combating and wrestling.

The Irish had the same suitable as the Romans, as they saw this game as an important social event as it was also a sporting occasion. So after every match, they would usually hold a large event. It was only in County Kerr that this sport was well-recorded, called Caid. It was revealed in a recent student essay help by an essay writing service that even in the modern-day, Gaelic football was still full of violence until about 150 years ago. For centuries, violence has played a huge role in this game. Even as it grew in several structures and groups made of similar types of players, with the video games used as marked fields with referees, violence was still common, and there was little interest in disrupting fights. There has always been a strong social tie surrounding this sport.

Many teams have their regular pubs where the players and club supporters go after each game, whether they win or lose. Many of these clubs also host social events and are clubs for people from different cities or counties, rather than just being a sports team. This sport is pure in its amateur sports league nature but is supported and watched by the country.

Today it has an estimate of 182,000 players and over 2,500 clubs worldwide. The new emphasis on promoting this sport in recent years has helped it thrive. However, back in the early 14th century, all Gaelic games were banned until 1527 to reinforce the reign of British political power. Again, there was a serious threat that this sport might be lost in the 1840s during the potato famine when people lacked the energy to play the sport, with many leaving the country. However, it started to flourish after the people recovered from the potato famine. The people engaged in this sport more to celebrate their independence from England, but at the time, there were already many Irish immigrants scattered across North America. That’s how the sport started to spread to other countries.

As a sport, Gaelic football has developed greatly and has experienced several changes throughout its long history, from the brutally violent game to a skillful and fast-paced sport. The pitch for the modern game is between 130m and 145m long, with a width of 80m to 90m. it is played for 70 minutes and is divided into two halves of 35 minutes. The goalposts have a minimum height of 7m with a width of 6.5m and a crossbar that’s set at 2.5m. The goal is placed at the center of the goal line at both field ends. Players are given shirt numbers 1-15 in line with their position on the field: a goalie, 3 fullbacks, 3 halfbacks, 2 midfielders, 3 half forwards, and 3 full forwards. The game is played man-to-man, so you’re going to start the game next to the opposition player that is marking you and vice versa, and you’re expected to stay with them through the game’s duration.

There are two ways to score in this sport: kick the ball past the goalkeeper to earn 3 points, or strike the ball with your foot or fist over the crossbar and between the posts to earn 1 point.

Conclusion

Gaelic football has been the traditional sport of the Irish people for many centuries, and up to date, it’s still watched and supported throughout the country.

Five best Premier League midfielders

  1. Cesc Fabregas

Young Cesc was such a prodigy at the age of 16, that Arsene Wenger from Arsenal personally traveled to Spain and talked to the boy’s parents to invite him to join the London team. As a result, Fabregas quickly blended in and stayed with the squad for seven seasons. During this time he made 70 assists and scored 35 goals in the EPL.

Transfer to Barcelona in 2011 was a setback,  but then he got back to the Premier League and aided Chelsea in getting two EPL titles. Nowadays, in Monaco, he continues to amuse fans with his extraordinary passes.

Unfortunately, judging by an article at https://bookmaker-ratings.com/, he has been injured and will not take part in the match against PSG.

Cesc made 111 passes in 350 appearances, being second top assist. Ryan Giggs was first with 167, but he appeared much more.

  1. David Silva

David Silva started his career in 2004 in Valencia and joined the Spanish national team. Then he joined Pep Guardiola’s super-squad and became a key player there. He perfectly scores, shows outstanding technique and vision, and his passes always hit the spot. He is a perfect image of a Spanish midfielder.

After winning Euro 2008, Silva started playing for Manchester City, joining the dream team. Next year David rose to top assist provider, which was a great boost for City in the championship and helped them win the Premier League for the first time in 44 years.

In the following years, Silva got 3 more Premier League titles, 5 League Cups, and 2 FA Cups for the club. He scored 60 times and assisted 93 times. Silva’s name was immortalized with a statue in front of Etihad Stadium. In 2019 Silva announced he would leave MC. In 2020 David joined Real Sociedad.

Could Stuart Dallas’ Premier League career have come to a devastating end?

There is a genuine fear among Leeds United’s staff and fanbase that club stalwart Stuart Dallas may have played his last game in the Premier League for the Whites after suffering a career-threatening injury against Manchester City. In many ways, Dallas was incredibly unlucky to come away from a challenge with Jack Grealish with a femoral fracture given that these types of breaks to the femur only really occur when high-impact trauma is involved. Put another way, it’s exceptionally rare for footballers to suffer this particular type of break but when they do, it goes without saying that very little is guaranteed in terms of a return to playing anytime soon.

Indeed, with Leeds United’s top-flight future hanging in the balance as the latest Premier League relegation odds 21/22 put Jesse Marsch’s men at just 4/5 to go down, it becomes easier to imagine a scenario where Dallas has played his final game in the world’s most competitive league.

Of course, Dallas has a contract with Leeds that runs until the summer of 2024 which means that he will be on the club’s books for at least another 24 months. There is, however, a difference between being contracted and being in a position to contribute towards winning football matches on the field of play. As things stand, no one can say with any certainty that when Dallas returns, he will be at the same level he was before his tangle with Grealish.

With that being said, there was an indication that the Northern Irishman’s emergency surgery was a success following the defeat to City after Marsch backed Dallas to make a full recovery and come back stronger than ever. It was undoubtedly an encouraging update from the new Elland Road boss but it’s worth saying that the Leeds supporters have become wary of how sincere the American really is after seemingly misreading the mood around the city since his arrival. In particular, Marsch conducted a string of ill-advised interviews about how bright the future is despite a potential relegation drawing nearer. Naturally, this was met with annoyance by the Leeds fans as they felt like the manager should be present in the here and now in order to prevent this potentially devastating development.

Crucially, there’s no suggestion that Marsch is an unlikeable guy but rather that he tends to see the world through heavily rose-coloured glasses which as briefly touched on, has the ability to undermine what he says. With regards to Dallas, everyone hopes that the 48-year-old is right about him returning to an even better version of himself but historically, the rehabilitation time of thisinjury could take as long as 18 months if ligament damage was also sustained.

This is obviously the worst-case scenario with any timeline ultimately depending on how well Dallas’ body takes to the arduous journey ahead. One last point to consider is that the versatile player has just turned 31 which is significant when weighing up if he will ever play in the Premier League again given that he could be closer to 33 when the time comes.

The silver lining is that Dallas’ Leeds’ career may not be over if the club ends up back in the Championship but if the Whites get out of jail and continue to consolidate their Premier League status, it becomes harder to see a way back for a man who has been a talismanic figure during their recent resurgence.
